Featured Faculty

Katie teaches English at the Rocky Mountain Semester. She received her B.A. in English with a focus in expository writing from Brown University. She joined the Rocky Mountain Semester faculty after completing the Apprentice Program in 2007, and having been a student in Rocky Mountain Semester V. Katie has worked with youth in the outdoors for years, leading outdoors trips at Brown as well as at high schools in California, Colorado and Oregon. At the High Mountain Institute, Katie inspires her English students with writing assignments both analytical and creative, and introduces them to literature of the natural world.
