English Teacher & Wilderness Leader

The High Mountain Institute is seeking an English Teacher & Wilderness Leader, a full-time faculty position in our Rocky Mountain Semester program. Responsibilities include: teaching 2-4 sections of Literature of the Natural World, leading wilderness expeditions, and other faculty duties.

Hiring process for all positions:

You must submit a completed HMI Employment Application before we will begin reviewing your application for any open position.

After an initial review, HMI will solicit further information from some candidates, such as a practical testing element, detailed writing samples, and other information. Finalists may be invited to HMI for a formal interview. HMI is committed to taking the time to review carefully all candidates and will not fill the positions until ideal candidates are found.
