Name: Sam Barber
RMS: XV
College/University: Lewis and Clark College
Occupation Title: Senior Brewer, Breakside Brewery
Portland, OR

Sam is currently the Senior Brewer at Breakside Brewery where he manages Breakside’s “research and development” brewery. In addition, Sam does lots of brewing and accompanying “cellar work,” as well as recipe design and branding. He even got to teach a class on brewing last semester with Ben Edmunds, former HMI Spanish faculty and brewmaster at Breakside, at Lewis and Clark College!

That said, come December 1, Sam will begin working as a lobbyist on the state level for a number of transportation and health related clients. While he will sorely miss brewing, Sam is excited about the opportunity to immerse himself in something completely new.
