Apprentice Program Admissions

Who should apply: Motivated college graduates seeking experience in the classroom, residential education and wilderness.

Prerequisites: Accepted apprentices are strongly encouraged to hold Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification by the time the program begins. The High Mountain Institute hosts Wilderness Medicine Institute WFA and WFR certification courses. Click here to see a schedule of courses offered.

Dates:
Application Deadline: March 1, 2010
Fall Semester: July 27 - December 18, 2010
Spring Semester: January 3 - May 31, 2011

Tuition:
$2,000 per semester*
*Cost includes room & board; all class materials; and wilderness gear rental.
Financial Aid is available. 

Graduate Credit is available at an additional cost.
