Junior year is critical for college admissions

At the Rocky Mountain Semester, students are able to take a full range of standardized tests, including the PSATs, SATs, and AP exams. It is also possible for students to take the ACT at the Rocky Mountain Semester.

We begin the college process each spring with individual 45-minute college counseling sessions with some of the best independent school college counselors in the country. Results are forwarded to home school counselors. We also schedule a special visit to Colorado College for our students each spring.

Finally, the close relationships students develop with their teachers over the course of the semester allow our faculty to write effective college recommendations. We typically write recommendations for over 75% of our alumni, and over 80% of our students write about their Rocky Mountain Semester experience in college essays.
