Apply to the HMI Semester

When are applications due?

Applications for both fall and spring semesters are due (postmarked) by February 15. After February 15, we will accept applications on a rolling admissions basis to fill any remaining places.

What do I need to include?

A complete application will include the following:

  • A copy of an essay written for your English or History class (It should be graded with comments.)
  • A copy of your transcript
  • 2 sealed advisor/teacher recommendations
  • A recent photograph of you
  • Application fee of $35, payable to the High Mountain Institute (non-refundable)

Note: HMI will not offer French during the 2012-2013 academic year.  Please contact the admissions office for more information regarding indpendent study and online course options.

When will I hear if I am accepted?

Acceptance letters are mailed in mid March. Enrollment agreements are due back to High Mountain Institute by May 1 for both fall and spring semesters.
