I'm under 18, can I attend the reunion alone?
Yes! Many of our alumni are minors and still in high school. Everyone is invited to this event, regardless of age.
If you are under 18, we will ask you to fill out a risk and release form before arriving to HMI that outlines our community expectations and guidelines for under-age participants.
What does the reunion registration fee cover?
The reunion registration fee covers the cost of meals on campus, live music, activities inlcuding the 5k & 10k runs, adventure film fest, community yoga, and a sweet piece of HMI swag that everyone will get when they arrive at HMI!
Lodging and transportation fees are in addition to the $50 registration fee.
Will food allergies and dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes! Upon registration you will have the chance to let us know your dietary needs/restrictions. If you have specific concerns please contact Barrett (firstname.lastname@example.org)!

What activities are there for me to enjoy in Leadville?
There are too many to count! We are currently working on putting together an activity guide for Leadville and the surrounding area. In the meantime, consider a visit to Turquoise Lake, a hike around the National Fish Hatchery, or a tour of Leadville’s historic mining district on the Mineral Belt Trail! You could also wake up early and plan to summit one of our local 14,000 foot peaks!
After the 5k & 10k races on Saturday morning, you will have plenty of time to explore Leadville. We encourage you to plan your own adventures at this time, before returning to HMI for dinner.
Where can I stay?
Check out our lodging and transportation page! You are welcome to stay on campus in a cabin or tent, or to stay in town.
If I stay on campus can I use the kitchen and fridge?
Because we will have so many folks on campus, our kitchen and fridge will be at full capacity and will not be available for use by folks staying here. If you are staying in the cabins or a tent, please know that you cannot leave food or other smelly items there. We have active bears in the area and want to avoid them coming onto campus. If you leave smelly items in your car, please know that you are doing so at your own risk.
If I stay on campus, can I request to be in the same cabin/tent as my friends?
Yes! Email Barrett (email@example.com) to request lodging with your friends. The earlier you register, the more likely this will be!
Will the Barnes family be there?
Molly will be here for the entire reunion weekend! On Saturday afternoon, she will give a talk on her family’s sailing trip around the world.
Unfortunately Christopher won’t be able to make it, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed that Porter and Jack will be here!
When do I need to register?
The registration deadline is May 10th – please register before then in order to attend the event! Contact Barrett (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions!
